Otterscan, created in 2021 by William Mitsuda, is an Ethereum blockchain explorer built on Erigon.

It can be run locally on a laptop with an archive node companion, specifically Erigon.

Developers can use Otterscan’s custom methods, implemented at the RPC daemon level, for faster access.
