According to its docs, users can lock supported Bitcoin related collateral and mint USDa while staying exposed to BTC, then use that liquidity across lending and DeFi strategies.
The protocol also describes risk controls around LTV, liquidation thresholds, custody, and oracle design.
On Mantle, Avalon USDa expands the set of Bitcoin focused collateral and stablecoin tools available to borrowers, liquidity providers, and protocols building around BTC based capital markets.
Once the health factor drops below 1 the collateral no longer covers the debt. Up to half the position is repaid, plus a fee.
Three pool types, each matched to its asset mix, so a problem in one BTC derivative cannot spread across the whole book.
Most lending markets reprice as the pool fills. This one deliberately does not, and the trade-off that comes with it.
